For a receipt to qualify for rewards, the uploaded picture(s) must include in clear and unaltered form:
- Store name
- Items purchased with prices
- Total dollar amount
- Purchase date
Receipts with ambiguous store names, extraneous marks or writing, missing the purchased items entirely, or receipts that are simply too faded in any of those 4 areas will not be rewarded.
In addition, other limits are put in place in order to have the accurate data to continue funding schools, and to prevent users from potentially cheating the system and unfairly gain more rewards.
A receipt must be uploaded to the app no more than 14 days after the transaction date as it appears on the receipt. Please note that our database runs on UTC time, so it's best to upload the receipt as you receive them, rather than on the 14th day as it may miss the 14 day mark.
You can upload up to 20 grocery receipts or 50 non-grocery receipts in a 7 day rolling period. This is not a set 7 days like Monday through Sunday, but rather a a sliding window relative to the current date and time. For example, the rolling period would be applied from August 31st to September 6th, September 1st to September 7th, September 2nd to September 8th, etc.
Whenever you are about to upload a receipt, think of how many receipts have been uploaded within 7 days of the current time and date. That number must be less than 20 for grocery receipts and 50 for non-grocery receipts for the next receipt to qualify.
Regardless of the day they are uploaded and the location of the business, you can upload up to 3 receipts from the same store with the same transaction date.
Receipts contribute to this threshold as they are processed in our system so if you upload more than 3 receipts at once, the 3 receipts that finish processing first will qualify. Shorter receipts tend to process before longer receipts and may cause the long receipts to no longer qualify for rewards. Keep in mind that longer receipts naturally may take a bit longer to process since they have more information.

Please Note: Receipts that trigger any of threshold become ineligible and cannot be uploaded a second time or they will be flagged as duplicates. These limits exist prevent individuals from purposefully abusing our system or submitting receipts that are not their own.
You may only submit real, unmodified receipts from shopping trips made by yourself or members of your household. The sharing of receipts or the submission of receipts that do not reflect your own household's shopping trips is prohibited according to our Terms and Conditions.
